Kaduna State Deputy Governor and Chairperson of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 presidential campaign flag-off, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, has said the state is ready to host President Bola Tinubu on Saturday.
Balarabe gave the assurance on Wednesday evening after inspecting facilities at the Kaduna Township Stadium, venue of the campaign flag-off.
“I’m comfortable with what has been done so far; we have the holding area, the conveniences are ready, the pavilions are ready. What remains is the markings for the different states,” she said.

The deputy governor said the committee had extensively deliberated on security arrangements before, during and after the rally, with experienced security professionals at both state and federal levels involved in the preparations.
She added that attendees would be screened before being allowed into the stadium, assuring party members and supporters of their safety at the venue.
Balarabe said the committee expected a large turnout of APC members and supporters from across the country, noting that the North-West remained a stronghold of the ruling party.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, said mobilisation was ongoing, adding that hotels and service apartments across Kaduna metropolis had been fully booked ahead of the event.
Maiyaki described Kaduna’s selection as the host of the presidential campaign flag-off as a privilege and an honour, saying residents were eager to welcome Tinubu.
He said the rally would provide an opportunity for the people of the state to demonstrate their support for the President and the APC.
The commissioner also attributed Kaduna’s decision to support the ruling party to the benefits the state had received from the APC-led Federal Government over the past three and a half years, including infrastructure projects and federal appointments for its indigenes.
Among the projects he highlighted were the conversion of the Federal College of Education, Zaria, into a university, the recent conversion of Kaduna Polytechnic into a Federal University of Technology, the 122-kilometre Mando–Birnin Gwari road and the proposed Kaduna Light Rail Project.
