Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced the appointment of Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole as his new Chief of Staff.
The appointment was announced few hours after the last occupant of the position, Segun Ogunwuyi, announced his resignation.
DAILY POST gathered that Ogunwuyi, a native of Ogbomoso, had in the early hours of Monday announced his resignation from Makinde’s government.
The governor has announced the appointment of Akinwole as a replacement of Ogunwuyi.
Akinwole is also a native of Ogbomoso.
The fresh appointment was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Musbau Babatunde.
The statement also announced that the governor has appointed Mrs Aderonke Adedayo as Director-General of the Due Process Office.
The appointments take immediate effect.
