Czech President Petr Pavel will meet German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin on Wednesday, October 21. Their working meeting will focus, among other things, on foreign and security policy.
Pavel will also attend the Berlin Global Dialogue conference, which explores the links between politics, business and geopolitics. He is due to speak on October 22 in a panel discussion on European security and take part in a roundtable organised by the German Council on Foreign Relations.
Pavel last visited Berlin in July last year, when he met German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. After the talks, he said they had confirmed the exceptionally close relations between the two countries.
