Musinsa is opening the second store of Musinsa Bag & Cap Club, a specialty retailer for bags and hats, in Seoul's Cheongnyangni area. By moving into a large mixed-use shopping mall, the company aims to broaden its reach to family shoppers.
Musinsa said on the 22nd that it will open the second Bag & Cap Club store on the 23rd at Lotte Mall Vely Town Cheongnyangni in Seoul's Dongdaemun District. The opening comes about six months after the company launched its first store in Seoul Forest in April.
The new store occupies about 125 square meters on the second floor of the new wing at Lotte Mall Vely Town Cheongnyangni. Musinsa has gathered products from 94 brands in one place, ranging from children's to adult sizes, so shoppers can try on and buy the bags and hats that have proved popular online.
The company plans to expand its customer base beyond the 20- and 30-somethings who have been its core shoppers to include families, taking into account residential demand in the Cheongnyangni area and the profile of mall visitors. The store is also linked with the Musinsa Standard outlet on the first basement level of the nearby Lotte Department Store Cheongnyangni, allowing customers to shop for clothing and fashion accessories together.
Hat brand New Era and bag brand JanSport are each setting up shop-in-shop spaces at the store. The store also carries exclusive and collaboration items, including the New Era Running Cap sold only at Musinsa, the JanSport x LG Twins bag, the Champion x RAWROW bag, the Eastpak x Crush bag and the Musinsa x Puma collaboration collection.
Musinsa has also prepared discounts to mark the opening. From the 23rd through the 25th, visitors will receive 50% discount coupons on a first-come, first-served basis. Musinsa members will also get a 15% cart discount coupon for the Cheongnyangni store, valid through the 19th of next month.
"We expect the Musinsa Bag & Cap Club at Lotte Mall Vely Town Cheongnyangni to become a space where customers can take in fashion accessory trends at a glance," a Musinsa official said.
