The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) confirmed no injuries were reported, despite a tree crushing a parked car in Griffith and another smashing into the roof of a house in Giralang.
Tree damage was widespread across both north and south Canberra, with suburbs including Red Hill, Wanniassa, Kambah and parts of Belconnen bearing the brunt.

ACT State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers were deployed across the city to clear roads and properties. By 5pm, crews had attended to more than 10 jobs, with teams working well into the evening to clear debris.
In Giralang, SES personnel were called to Leneham Street about 5.30pm to cut away a large branch that had crashed through the roof of a house.
Fallen power lines caused widespread outages across Turner, Hughes, Kambah, Evatt and Narrabundah. While some residents experienced only brief interruptions, others were left without power for several hours as line crews worked to restore the network.
