For the first time in their career as a complete seven-member act, BTS sets foot in Argentina this week — and the three nights scheduled at Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona in La Plata stand to be among the most consequential concerts in Argentine live-music history.
A Record-Breaking Sixth Tour
The BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' is the South Korean septet's sixth major concert tour, launched April 9, 2026, at Goyang Stadium in support of their fifth studio album ARIRANG — a 14-track reunion project built around themes of identity, longing, and homecoming after years away for mandatory military service. Bloomberg reported at announcement that the group planned "their largest world tour to date," and the numbers delivered.
Before crossing into South America, BTS had already erased every ticket across 41 stadium dates in North America, Europe, and the UK, moving approximately 2.4 million tickets in the process. The North American leg alone — 31 shows across 12 cities — drew 1.92 million concertgoers, setting new records at the final stop in Los Angeles. J-Hope addressed the crowd at SoFi Stadium by saying "this is the end," acknowledging the leg's conclusion before the band turned its attention south.
Five Countries, 14 Sold-Out Shows
The Latin American leg, promoted by Live Nation, spans 14 stadium concerts across five countries: Bogotá (Estadio El Campín, approximately 39,500 seats), Lima (Estadio San Marcos, approximately 32,000), Santiago (Estadio Nacional, approximately 50,000), Buenos Aires (Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona, approximately 53,000), and São Paulo (Estádio do Morumbi, more than 72,000 seats). Every date sold out. Each show features the same immersive 360-degree in-the-round stage that places the audience on all sides of the band.
The run opened October 2 and 3 at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá — BTS's debut in Colombia — drawing roughly 100,000 fans across two nights. From there, the group traveled to Lima for three sold-out nights at Estadio San Marcos between October 7 and 10, where approximately 151,500 fans attended across the three shows — the first BTS performances ever in Peru. Peru's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism projected the concerts would bring more than 50,000 visitors to Lima and generate approximately $18.7 million in tourism-related economic activity. Santiago followed with three nights at Estadio Nacional on October 14, 16, and 17, where the 360-degree configuration filled every tier of the venue.

Argentina's First-Ever Visit From the Complete Group
Along with Colombia and Peru, Argentina marks a country where BTS has never before performed as a full seven-member act. The only prior connection between any BTS member and Buenos Aires came in 2022, when Jin joined Coldplay's Buenos Aires shows as a guest performer.
Three concerts are now confirmed at Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona: October 21, 23, and 24. Originally announced as a two-night run in March 2026, a third date on October 21 was added on April 8 following overwhelming demand — part of the same announcement that also added extra shows in Lima and Santiago. Ahead of the concerts, the La Plata City Council voted unanimously to name BTS "Guests of Honor," a resolution put forward by the local fan community BTS La Plata Oficial after months of campaigning. Tickets for all three dates were sold through the AllAccess platform at prices ranging from 225,000 to 425,000 Argentine pesos before service charges, according to the official ticketing breakdown.
October 24: When La Plata Reaches Cinema Screens Worldwide
The third and final Buenos Aires concert carries an additional dimension. According to BigHit Music, the October 24 performance will be broadcast live to approximately 3,800 theaters across more than 80 countries and regions as part of BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' IN BUENOS AIRES AND SÃO PAULO: LIVE VIEWING — the first BTS live cinema event ever originating from South America. The broadcast runs 3 hours and 15 minutes; theaters in South Korea, Australia, and other territories with significant time differences will screen the same feed on October 25 instead. The live viewing event is co-presented by Trafalgar Releasing, HYBE, and BigHit Music, adding to the program that launched during earlier stops in Goyang and Busan.
Brazil Closes the South American Chapter
After La Plata, BTS wraps the continental leg in São Paulo with three nights at Estádio do Morumbi — October 28, 30, and 31 — the tour's single highest-capacity venue in South America. The October 30 São Paulo concert will also broadcast as a Live Viewing to cinemas worldwide. Once Brazil concludes, the ARIRANG World Tour continues through Asia with confirmed dates in Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Singapore, and other cities extending through early 2027.
