Roma enjoyed a 4-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava, which earned the Giallorossi their first win in this season’s Champions League.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s team delivered a convincing performance, building on their league win against Genoa.
Now, however, attention turns to their next Serie A match, which will see the Roman side take on Napoli on Saturday, October 24th at 6:00 PM.
The Giallorossi’s coaching staff is particularly concerned about the condition of Lorenzo Pellegrini, who was forced off the pitch at the start of the second half of the match against Slovan Bratislava due to a muscle problem in his right thigh flexor.
According to today’s edition of Il Messaggero, the midfielder will undergo medical tests today, which will determine the extent of the injury and determine a possible recovery time.
His participation in the away match against Napoli is seriously at risk, but there is concern that the sidelines could be extended further, forcing Gasperini to withdraw the player from future fixtures as well.
Much will depend on the outcome of the tests, which will provide a more precise picture of the situation.
