Korea Investment & Securities said on the 14th that it has launched "Listening Research," a service that summarizes and reads investment reports aloud using artificial intelligence voice technology within its mobile trading system. The feature converts text to speech while highlighting each sentence on screen in real time. The move aims to improve readability and convenience for investors who find it difficult to look at a screen while on the move or to read small text on mobile devices.
The brokerage has also expanded its global research offerings. Korea Investment & Securities recently added exclusive research reports from Fidelity and PIMCO, two of the world's leading asset managers, to its mobile trading app. The addition follows strategic partnerships that CEO Kim Sung-hwan signed with the two firms during an overseas business trip last month that included New York.
The firm already provides reports from Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan on an exclusive basis in South Korea. "We designed this so that high-quality research from the world's top financial firms can be consumed without constraints of time or place," an official at Korea Investment & Securities said. "We will continue to actively incorporate AI and digital finance technology to lower the barriers to investment information and improve convenience."
