Pubali Bank PLC inaugurated its 285th sub-branch in Uttara Sector 12 today, aiming to make modern banking services more accessible to customers in the area.
Mohammad Ali, managing director of Pubali Bank, attended the inauguration today (12 October) as the chief guest, according to the press release.
AKM Abdur Raqib, general manager and regional manager of the Dhaka North Region, attended as the special guest.
Md Hafizur Rahman Sardar, deputy general manager and manager of the Sonargaon Janpath branch, presided over the programme.
Others present included Niger Sultana, deputy general manager and manager of the Dhanmondi branch; Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, assistant general manager and head of public relations; and Sharif Santu, president of the Uttara Sector 12 Welfare Society.
Local businesspeople, invited guests and senior bank officials also attended.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mohammad Ali expressed satisfaction with the opening of the bank's 285th sub-branch.
He said Pubali Bank's primary objective was to bring modern, convenient and prompt banking services closer to customers. The new sub-branch would enable customers in Uttara to access these services more easily, he added.
Building on customers' trust and support, the bank would continue expanding technology-driven, secure and customer-friendly banking services, he said.
Mohammad Ali also described Pubali Bank as a partner in Bangladesh's economic development and the advancement of trade and commerce.
He said the bank remained committed to supporting customers through deposit mobilisation, investment, remittance services and modern banking solutions.
