Jamal and Ell Dunce Records release motivational music for youth

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Dancehall artiste Jamal is using his latest single, Blessin, to encourage young people to pursue their dreams and rise above their circumstances. According to Ryan Carter of Ell Dunce Records, the song was a strategic move to balance entertainment with positive messaging, as Jamal recognises his influence on young people. “In everything, there must be balance. This song was created with that in mind. Jamal has the road right now, and he is aware seh di youths look up to him and as such he wanted to release a song that encourages the youths to go for their dreams,” Carter said. “He accepts that he is a leader and he wants to not only entertain but also teach the youths how fi pree inna di road.” The single has also gained traction on social media, where it is being used by car mart owners and vehicle purchasers to celebrate personal and professional milestones. “It is becoming the skate pon toll anthem. It is like a status symbol yah now cause when a man buy a car and a post fi celebrate a Blessin him play. It's viral on TikTok and Instagram right now,” Carter said. Jamal is currently in the studio completing new material and is booked for performances locally and internationally. Meanwhile, Ell Dunce Records is preparing to release new music from artistes including Jahshii, Ai Milly and XKappe.
