CHONBURI — 20 October 2026, 37-year-old American YouTuber Chris Barnes says he was assaulted and robbed outside a bar in Pattaya early on 18 October. In a video posted on 20 October, he identified two men known as Avery and Pressure, as well as sharing their social media accounts.
Barnes said he had gone to the bar to meet someone and was carrying a camera and bag because he was making content. He said Pressure, whom he had spoken with before, greeted him as usual and then invited him outside to talk.
Barnes alleged that Pressure contacted Avery to tell him he was there. CCTV footage shown in Barnes’ post appears to show Avery coming outside shortly after Barnes and Pressure leave the bar. Barnes said he had never spoken with Avery before.

Footage from a second security camera, also shown in the video, appears to show a man Barnes identified as Avery waiting behind a car before approaching and punching him. Barnes said Pressure then kicked him in the face as he lay on the ground. The footage is timestamped at 01:11 on 18 October.

Barnes said the two men took his bag, which contained cash, credit cards, a DJI Osmo Pocket camera, Apple AirPods and his passport. He said Avery threw the AirPods aside rather than taking them. Barnes later tracked their location, but said some of his belongings had not been returned.
Barnes said he had reported the incident to Pattaya City Police Station and that police had the video footage. He also described financial difficulties following the theft and asked his social media followers for support.
