The Night in Context
Tonight three international acts play in three different parts of São Paulo: a world-famous orchestra in the centre, a soul legend in the south and a metal band in the west.
The Sala São Paulo is the city’s classical landmark, built inside the former Júlio Prestes railway station, which opened in 1938, with the concert hall opening in 1999. The Carioca Club and the Vibra São Paulo draw fans who travel across the city.
That is why this guide names what we could not confirm instead of filling the gap. Venue programmes often show old dates, so we only list events whose 2026 date appears on the listing.
Brazil also votes in the presidential runoff on 25 October, one week from tonight. Election day is a Sunday, so check transport and opening hours before you travel that weekend.
Prices and line-ups come from listings checked on 18 October and can change at the door.
Practical Notes
- —Transport The Sala São Paulo is a short walk from the Luz station. For the Vibra São Paulo and the Carioca Club, an Uber or 99 rideshare is the easiest option, especially after dark.
- —Weather The evening is dry and cool, falling to about 15°C (60°F) by 11 p.m. Bring a jacket, especially for outdoor queues.
- —Tickets Buy through the venue or its official ticket seller. Avoid street resellers outside the venues.
- —Safety Carry a copy of your passport rather than the original, keep phones in a front pocket, and agree the pick-up point with your driver before the show ends.
What We Could Not Confirm
- —Berlin Philharmonic We could not confirm any returns, and listings differ on the piano soloist.
- —Dionne Warwick We could not confirm the times on the venue’s own page, the sectors or whether tickets remain. A few listings show 16 October, but the tour announcement gives 18 October, a day after her Rio date.
- —Amorphis We could not confirm the show start time or how many tickets remain.
- —Other venues We found no confirmed listing for tonight at Blue Note São Paulo, Casa Natura Musical, Tokio Marine Hall, Espaço Unimed or Bourbon Street.
