Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Norway-based oil and gas operator DNO reported that its crude oil sales in Iraqi Kurdistan nearly doubled on an annual basis, reaching an average of 28,058 barrels per day in the third quarter of 2026.
The increase in oil sales comes after the corporation proactively halted its regional activities in response to the military escalations between the United States, Israel, and Iran in late February 2026, which resulted in a total collapse in revenues in the second quarter of 2026.
During the third quarter of 2026, gross operating production from the Tawke and Peshkabir oilfields rose significantly to 73,219 barrels per day, a substantial increase from just 363 barrels per day in the second quarter of the year.
All payments for DNO’s share of the oil during the third quarter were made in advance and deposited into the company’s foreign bank accounts before delivery began, aiming to mitigate previous regional payment risks.
Compared to oil sales of 14,449 barrels per day during the third quarter of 2025, the company’s supplies in the third quarter of 2026 represent an increase of about 94 percent.
