Bermudian swimmer Thomas Cechini finished second in the men’s 200-yard freestyle as Loyola University Maryland defeated Lafayette College 219–81 in Easton, Pennsylvania.
The sophomore from Devonshire recorded a time of 1:43.41 in the event during the dual meet at Lafayette’s Weinstein Natatorium.
Cechini also swam the opening leg for Loyola’s C team in the men’s 400-yard freestyle relay, helping the quartet finish third in 3:12.15.
Loyola’s men finished the meet with a winning margin of 138 points.
