Tennessee Vols football hosts Alabama in the intense rivalry game on Oct. 17 at Neyland Stadium with CFP stakes between two one-loss SEC teams.
The Vols (5-1, 2-1 SEC) held on for a 24-17 win at Arkansas last week. Tennessee's offense hasn't been as explosive this season, especially in the passing game, as in previous seasons under Josh Heupel.
Alabama (5-1, 3-1) lost 20-17 against Georgia for the Tide's first defeat of the season.
The winner will add a quality win, while the loser will have two losses before Halloween and a tricky November slate.

- Alabama 27, Tennessee 20: "Tennessee needs to prove it can move the ball through the air, and if it can't it'll be tough to keep up against the Tide. There were flashes against Arkansas, but that came against arguably the worst team in the SEC. Alabama is a different challenge altogether. The Vols' defense should be able to keep this one close. Whether they can find enough offense is a different question." (Pick by Knox News reporter Emmett Siegel)
