‘Everything is on the table’ to fix Eagles’ nonexistent offense, except demoting Sean Mannion appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Sitting at 2-4 in the middle of a four-game losing streak, is there anything the Philadelphia Eagles can do to fix their brutally ineffective offense and, in turn, the 2026 season?
At this point, that remains to be seen, but Nick Sirianni is willing to do almost anything to figure it out.
The keyword? Almost, as on Monday, he told reporters there’s one hill he’s willing to die on: Sean Mannioncalling plays.

“Everything’s on the table” with fixing the offense, but play-caller/coaches is/are not changing,” Sirianni said via The Athletic’s Zach Berman.
Now granted, to Mannion, Sirianni, and company’s credit, the Eagles haven’t exactly been paid any favors in the injury department, with 30 players taking at least one snap on offense through Week 6. Jalen Hurts’ season is over after landing on IR with blood clots. Lane Johnson opted to retire after Week 4. And Cam Jurgens has already been traded to the Baltimore Ravens, which could be the first of many seller moves Howie Roseman could execute before the November 10 deadline.
And yet, while the Eagles have had to cycle in new bodies on a near-weekly basis, Mannion deserves some blame for the offense’s struggles too, as his play-calling has been uninspired, his adjustments have never been enough, and his system simply hasn’t been as advertised when compared to the West Coast schemes run by Sean McVay or Matt LaFleur.
With Tanner McKee now tasked with running the show for the remainder of the season – unless he too suffers an injury or the Eagles make a trade – it’s clear the cavalry isn’t coming to save Philadelphia in 2026. If they are going to win the NFC East – if that is even a good goal at this point – it will come down to Mannion figuring it out as Sirianni’s offensive coordinator.
