As Benito Skinner heads back to campus for Season 2 of Overcompensating, he’s giving the fans what they want.
The series creator, EP and star revealed that the upcoming sophomore season of the Prime Video college series features lots of nudity and a hookup scene that fans ask about “everyday.”
“I was half-naked,” he told co-star Owen Thiele on his In Your Dreams podcast. “I wear like 12 jock straps this season.”
Skinner continued, “I will say one thing, because I just think it’s fun and it’s coming, and I can’t hold things anymore. But Benny [Skinner] does hook up with Miles [Rish Shah] in Season 2. You will see that, is what I’m gonna say, because I get asked that everyday.
“That’s one thing, and obviously George [Thiele] is a much bigger character in Season 2,” he added.
Inspired by his journey to coming out of the closet as a college jock, Skinner’s semi-autobiographical series was renewed for Season 2 at Prime Video last September.
With Holmes upped to series regular as hilarious party girl Hailee, Season 2 guest appearances include Tom Francis as Declan Bishop, Aisha Dee as Naomi and AnnaSophia Robb as Chels.
Also reprising their recurring roles from Season 1 are Connie Britton, Kyle MacLachlan, Lukas Gage, Andrea Martin, Julia Shiplett, Nell Verlaque, Danielle Perez, Yasmine Sahid, Boman Martinez-Reid, Tomaso Sanelli and Austin Lindsay.
