Oh Se-keun, 39, captain of the Korean Basketball League's Seoul SK Knights, has donated money to the Children and Future Foundation, a social welfare corporation, to support the healthy growth and future of children and adolescents.
Oh, who serves as a public relations ambassador for the foundation, delivered the donation on the 15th at the foundation's office in Seoul's Dongjak District, together with Kim Ki-man, senior coach of the Seoul SK Knights and an advisory committee member of the foundation.
Oh began working with the foundation in April last year, when he was appointed its official public relations ambassador. Kim, who visited the foundation with him at the time, was also named an advisory committee member and has since joined efforts to support children and adolescents. The two returned to the foundation this time to deliver a message of sharing and encouragement.
"As a public relations ambassador, it is deeply meaningful to be part of giving for children," Oh said. "I hope this donation helps, even a little, as children nurture their dreams, and I will continue to support their healthy growth and future."
Lee Hoon-kyu, chairman of the Children and Future Foundation, responded: "I am deeply grateful to Ambassador Oh Se-keun for practicing warm generosity for children. The foundation will also do its utmost so that the precious intentions he has shared can become a firm support in building children's dreams and futures."
The foundation said it plans to continue cooperating with Oh on a range of social contribution activities that support the dreams of children and adolescents and promote the value of sharing.
