The Czech Republic is set for a change in weather this weekend, with temperatures expected to fall and snow possible in mountain areas, according to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI).
The colder conditions will follow several relatively mild autumn days, when daytime temperatures are forecast to reach 17 to 18 degrees Celsius.

By the weekend, however, increased cloud cover and precipitation could bring the first signs of winter to higher elevations.
The transition will come after a frosty start to the week. Meteorologists expect the coldest night of the week to have already passed, meaning temperatures should remain more moderate over the coming days.
Sunshine is forecast across much of the country during the remainder of the working week, although mornings will stay chilly. Local fog and showers may develop in eastern parts of the Czech Republic.
The outlook for the weekend remains uncertain, but forecasters expect a general cooling trend, accompanied by extensive cloud cover and periods of rain.
Mountain regions are most likely to see wintry conditions. As temperatures fall, rain could turn to snow at higher elevations, particularly in the mountains. Some locations may also experience temperatures below freezing.
However, significant or lasting snowfall is not currently expected. Any snow that falls is likely to be limited to light dustings or scattered flakes, with accumulations unlikely to persist for long.
