After three weeks, we finally have a full slate of high school football again in the Pensacola area.
Just two games have been played since Oct. 2, with Pensacola Catholic crushing Freeport 49-7 on Oct. 7 and Escambia outlasting Fort Walton Beach 14-7 on Oct. 19.
There will be 10 games over the next two days, with one on Oct. 22 and nine more on Oct. 23. Seven are district games, highlight by a de facto District 1-2A championship between Pensacola Catholic and Walton and a key District 1-5A clash between Pace and Tate.
Thirteen of the 14 area teams are in action this week, while Pensacola is on a previously scheduled bye.
Now it's time for Friday Night Lights to return to Escambia and Santa Rosa County. Bookmark this page for live scores and updates over the next two days.
