ⓘ Baseus
Baseus has started selling the Spacemate RD1 Mini 10-in-1 in the US and Europe. The phone-sized dock features a smart display and 10 ports, including three USB-C ports and dual HDMI outputs for external displays. It, however, costs more than Anker's direct alternative at $169.99.
Baseus has officially launched the Spacemate RD1 Plus 14-in-1 Docking Station and started selling the more compact Spacemate RD1 Mini 10-in-1 dock. The smaller model first appeared on Amazon earlier this month, but there was no price attached. It's now available to order for $169.99 in the US and €179.99 in Europe, making it more expensive than the similarly specced Anker Desktop USB-C Hub.
To recap, the Anker Desktop USB-C Hub launched earlier at $99.99, featuring 10 ports, a smart display, and an integrated USB-C cable. The new Spacemate RD1 Mini has a similar design, but with a few changes to its port selection.
The main difference is the number of USB-C ports. The Anker hub has a single 10 Gbps USB-C port for accessories and an extra USB-C PD port for power input. The Baseus dock, on the other hand, features two 10 Gbps USB-C ports plus a third USB-C port for charging smaller devices like phones. However, there are no SD card slots on the Baseus model. Instead, the rest of the ports include three 5 Gbps USB-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, two HDMI ports, and a 120 W DC power input.
For external monitors, the Spacemate RD1 Mini supports single or dual 4K displays at a 60 Hz refresh rate. Anker's hub goes further for gamers, supporting a single 4K monitor at 144 Hz or two 2K monitors at 240 Hz. On the charging front, the Baseus dock supports up to 100 W for the connected laptop and up to 100 W for accessories through its USB-C PD port. When both are used at the same time, the power is split into 65 W and 30 W. Baseus also includes a compact 120 W GaN charger in the box.
Meanwhile, the built-in display shows live port activity, connected displays, power output, and more. There's also a function button for instantly locking your laptop when you step away. At 72 x 112.5 mm, the dock itself is shorter and narrower than an iPhone 17 Pro Max (Notebookcheck review), so it should be easy to slip into a bag and take to work.
Price and availability
The Baseus Spacemate RD1 Mini 10-in-1 dock is available to buy on the Baseus website and Amazon for $169.99 in the US. In Europe, it’s available on Amazon for €179.99 in countries like Germany.
