The wife of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Niger state, Hajiya Hadiza Muhammad Nami, has obtained National Examinations Council (NECO) forms for 500 indigent students across the three Senatorial Zones of the state.
Hajiya Nami made the gesture known on Friday during the presentation of the forms to beneficiaries in continuation of her empowerment support for the grassroots in Niger state.
She noted that the gesture was aimed at supporting the educational career of the beneficiaries and to make sure that they do not miss out on the examination, which certificate they need to proceed to tertiary institutions.
“I therefore urged you to study hard to pass all the subjects you have registered for in the NECO examinations at one sitting so that you can qualify to write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and proceed to the University for your Degree Programme,” she said.
Hadiza Nami described education as the “key to escaping poverty in the modern world” and advised the beneficiaries to pursue their education to the first degree level in order to break the yoke of poverty and ignorance.
