Bambu Lab is looking to expand its arsenal of 3D printers with a real competitor to the Snapmaker U1 and other tool changers. The leaked H3C is expected to be unveiled early in November, but there is no information on pricing.
It looks like Bambu Lab is gearing up to launch a new H series 3D printer. Called the H3C, this new flagship 3D printer will feature a tool changer rather than a nozzle changer like the Vortek system that the company introduced with the H2C. The H2C came with six nozzles for seven-color printing, and the H3C intends to take it a step further.
Spotted by Reddit user Equivalent-Visit-560 and shared on the BambuLab subreddit, the screenshot shows a glimpse of the Bambu Lab H3C. The tagline reads “Tool Changer. Game Changer” and the teaser image shows nine toolheads. This suggests the H3C will be a full hotend-swapping machine like the Snapmaker U1 or Flashforge Creator 5. The image also shows a November 4 unveiling date.
The image was spotted on the Australian Bambu Lab store but was quickly removed. Seems like the banner was accidentally pushed live.
It’s unclear exactly what part of the toolhead or printhead will be swapped out, or if it would be the entire toolhead. The image does show nine independent filaments feeding into each toolhead. Regardless, with nine of them, users will theoretically be able create prints with up to 10 colors.
There is no information on pricing, but the H3C can be expected to cost more than the H2C, which is already expensive at $2,200 for the AMS Combo.
