Apple is bringing Siri into more corners of the house, introducing a smart display that recognizes who is standing in front of it alongside updated television and speaker hardware and a new collection of connected home accessories.
Announced October 13, the lineup centers on Apple HomeView, a $299 device that combines a seven-inch touchscreen, entertainment features and controls for compatible household equipment. It arrives November 13 in tabletop and wall-mounted versions, with preorders already open.
HomeView's distinguishing feature is its ability to recognize up to six household members by their faces. According to Apple, the screen then switches to that person's content, including calendars, reminders, messages and FaceTime, while keeping personal information private from other users.
The device runs Siri AI, Apple's revamped voice assistant, which the company says supports more conversational exchanges. When paired with a compatible Apple Intelligence device, it can also use information from a person's apps to deliver personalized responses. Its interface changes with the user's distance, displaying simpler information across the room and more detail as someone approaches.
The launch expands Apple's effort to make its devices a shared control system for the household, connecting entertainment equipment with cameras, locks and temperature controls.
For television viewers, the new Apple TV 4K adds built-in microphones that allow hands-free Siri requests. Apple says its full-screen Siri AI interface lets viewers use conversation to search for movies and television shows and find something to watch.
The fourth-generation streaming device costs $299 and reaches stores November 13. It can also connect with four compatible HomePod speakers for surround sound and serve as a hub for managing smart home accessories. Siri AI will be available in beta on second-generation and newer Apple TV 4K models, meaning the assistant upgrade also extends to some existing hardware.
The HomePod mini 2 arrives sooner, on October 30, priced at $149. Available in pink, green, blue, white and midnight, the speaker supports stereo pairing, multiroom playback and the new four-speaker television setup.
Its Siri AI features, however, will require a future software update. Apple says enabling the assistant requires the household owner to have a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad. Personal requests that draw on someone's information also require a paired supported device.
Apple is extending the launch beyond its own screens and speakers through partnerships with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. Their Apple Home Collection includes indoor and outdoor cameras, a video doorbell, a smart door lock, thermostats and temperature sensors.
The accessories can be set up beginning with a tap on an iPhone and managed through Apple's Home app without a separate manufacturer account or app, according to the company. Products begin arriving in December, with some following in early 2027. Announced U.S. prices include $199.95 for an LG indoor camera, $249.95 for its wired video doorbell and $349.95 for its smart deadbolt.
Availability will vary by market and language. Siri AI on HomeView initially supports English in eight countries, including the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Apple says HomeView will not be sold in the European Union at launch because Siri AI is currently unavailable there on iOS.
