IMPHAL, Oct 18: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader K Meghachandra has claimed that the only thing the BJP Government has been doing is creating hardships for the people.
He made the statement while addressing a felicitation ceremony for people who joined the Congress party at Old Phumlou Community Hall today.
The programme was organised by the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) SC Department and Sekmai Block Congress Committee (BCC).
Addressing the gathering, Meghachandra said that people are increasingly placing their faith in the Congress party.
He also alleged that the BJP has been conspiring to silence Congress MP Dr Bimol Akoijam for raising issues concerning Manipur in Parliament.
Truth will prevail, he said.
He alleged that the BJP has been causing hardships for the people, citing rising inflation, the displacement of people and other issues.
During the programme, people from different polling stations of Sekmai AC who have joined the Congress party were felicitated.
