Colombo, Oct. 13 (Daily Mirror) - President’s Counsel Anil Silva, appearing for the second suspect, Shiranthi Rajapaksa, informed court that she was scheduled to undergo open-heart surgery today at the National Hospital, Colombo.
Shiranthi Rajapaksa, who was transferred from the Prison Hospital to the National Hospital, Colombo yesterday, was admitted to the hospital’s cardiac care unit and is scheduled to undergo open-heart surgery today, court was informed.
The Magistrate subsequently directed prison officials to verify whether Rajapaksa was undergoing open-heart surgery at the National Hospital, Colombo and to report their findings to court.
The case was postponed until 2 p.m. pending a report from the prison authorities.
