By Zoila Palma: Today, the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH), through the National Celebrations Commission presented a donation valued at BZD $60,000 to the National Garifuna Council.
Albert Vaughan, President of NICH, presented the donation to Alex Nolberto, President of the National Garifuna Council, ahead of Garifuna Settlement Day 2026.
NICH says that it remains committed to supporting Belize’s cultural councils and strengthening the institutions that safeguard, promote and celebrate our rich cultural heritage.
