Seoul's Yangcheon District will hold a free car maintenance class for 250 residents at Haenuri Town at 9 a.m. on Nov. 1.
Participants will receive instruction on vehicle structure, maintenance methods and safe driving tips, followed by hands-on practice in the underground parking lot covering engine oil, antifreeze and battery checks as well as tire inflation.
Applications will be accepted from Oct. 19 to 28 through Yangcheon District's integrated reservation portal or at the district office's transportation division.
If more than 250 people apply, participants will be selected by random drawing.
The district has also expanded its free vehicle inspection service to twice a year starting this year.
