BNK Kyongnam Bank said on the 19th that Kim had taken part in the "Finance That Saves Lives" relay campaign organized by the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency. The campaign was created to protect people suffering from illegal private lending and to highlight the social role of finance and the value of inclusive finance. Officials from financial institutions, public agencies and local governments are participating in relay fashion.

Standing with employees in front of an LED display carrying the message "Finance that saves lives will protect you so that no one is pushed into illegal private lending," he pledged to help prevent harm from illegal lending and to put inclusive finance into practice.
"Finance must go beyond simply supplying funds and become a force that allows customers in difficulty to get back on their feet," Kim said. "An important role of a financial company is to ensure that financially vulnerable groups are not driven to illegal private lending and can receive the help they need within the formal financial system." He added, "We will improve access to finance and continue providing practical support so that customers and local residents can all get financial help when they need it."
