Residents affected by recent flooding in Mylopotamos, on the Greek island of Crete, have until Friday, October 23, 2026, to apply for financial assistance from the municipality, following an extension of the application deadline.
The aid is intended to cover essential immediate needs and the replacement of household furnishings and equipment damaged by the floods.
Applicants must submit an official application in person at the municipal offices and provide the required documentation. This includes a copy of the property inspection report, a family status certificate, copies of their E1 income tax return and E9 property declaration, and proof of a bank account showing the beneficiary’s name and International Bank Account Number (IBAN).
The municipality is urging residents who have not yet applied to submit their paperwork before the deadline so their applications can be completed and reviewed before payments are processed.
