Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has claimed that a political party chief is deeply upset over not receiving a governorship or a role in the governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Speaking informally to journalists in Lahore, Naqvi criticised politicians who, he alleged, had relied on the establishment for decades. He said such leaders should avoid accusing others while overlooking their own political history.

Naqvi also alleged that some politicians had depended on the establishment even to arrange air tickets for their party activities. He urged political leaders to base their arguments on facts and reasoning rather than personal accusations or disrespectful language.
The interior minister questioned the recent concerns raised by some political figures over resource allocation to the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). He asked why these leaders had remained silent when the former tribal districts were allegedly denied their rightful share of resources for years.
Naqvi stressed that the rights and resources of people in the former FATA districts should remain above political interests. He said the issue required attention beyond party rivalries.

He also highlighted the serious security challenges facing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The minister urged political leaders to support efforts to restore peace and eliminate terrorism instead of creating further tensions.
Naqvi said the province needed stability, cooperation and collective efforts rather than political confrontation. His remarks came amid continuing debate over governance, resource distribution and security in KP.
