Walker-Peters has been a mainstay under Nuno since West Ham’s relegation to the Championship, but the 29-year-old will no doubt have suffered a crisis of confidence over the last month after being taken off at the interval in successive games against Millwall and QPR.
Nuno’s decisions have inevitably raised concerns about Walker-Peters’ future at the club, but he insists there are no issues and said the former Southampton and Tottenham full-back understood his reasoning.
“It was tough. I spoke to Kyle, and it's not easy to take out the same player in different games. The intention was to change the shape. Kyle is a top professional, and he understood,” Nuno said in his pre-match press conference ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Lincoln City.

Alvarez has yet to feature in a league game for the Irons, with his only contribution coming against Portsmouth in the Carabao Cup first round, but Nuno insists he is still part of his plans.
"All the players are working. It's up to us to make decisions. Not all the players have played yet, but the chances will come,” Nuno continued.
"All of the players in the building are part of our plans."
