A 21-year-old University of South Carolina student suddenly died from a medical emergency during her final semester of college.
Jordan Elisabeth Chymbor, of Cheshire, Connecticut, died on Oct. 17, according to her obituary.
“Jordan experienced a sudden medical emergency that turned tragic resulting in Jordan’s passing. We are still awaiting answers, and our family is heartbroken by this unexpected and devastating loss,” her family wrote in a fundraising page.

She was an aspiring physician assistant pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and was on track to graduate in December.
She was a bright student with a love for the medical field and a 4.0 GPA.
Chymbor hoped to use her knowledge to help people struggling with eating disorders once she graduated, according to her family.

“Jordan had a beautiful smile that radiated warmth and reflected a spirit larger than life. Generous, humble, and kind, Jordan was extremely empathetic for those in need,” the obit reads.
“Jordan’s life was far too short, but her love and strength will live on in all who knew her. She was not the largest star in the sky, but she was one of the brightest.”
A GoFundMe to help her grieving family cover medical, travel and funeral expenses has already raised more than $42,000.
