ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
New York, NY | Hybrid

ABOUT ROOMS
ROOMS is a multi-brand womenswear showroom based in SoHo, New York, representing a curated portfolio of contemporary fashion brands from the U.S. and around the world.

We work with boutiques across the country, connecting buyers with brands we believe have something special to bring to the market.

Built from years of experience as buyers, retailers, and wholesale partners, ROOMS is a relationship-driven business with an ambitious, entrepreneurial team. We love our brands, care about great product, thoughtful distribution, strong relationships, and doing the details well.

We’re looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our team and grow our boutique business.

THE ROLE
You’ll manage and grow an established portfolio of boutique (specialty retailer) accounts while developing new business across the U.S.

This is a role for someone who loves sales and knows the boutique landscape – someone who gets excited about opening a great new account, growing a buyer season after season, and figuring out exactly which collection belongs in which store.

The day-to-day changes with the season. You might be selling appointments in our SoHo showroom, calling buyers, analyzing business, researching new stores, planning a road trip, following up after market, or traveling to a trade show.

You’ll have ownership of your accounts and collections, clear sales goals, and significant opportunity to grow your business – and your commission along with it.

Success in this role is measured by revenue growth, new account acquisition, growth within existing accounts, retention, and sales conversion.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of boutique accounts.
• Develop new business and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective accounts.
• Leverage existing buyer relationships to generate opportunities while continually building new ones.
• Build long-term relationships with boutique buyers and understand their customer, aesthetic, price point, and merchandising needs.
• Grow existing accounts across brands, categories, and seasons.
• Drive repeat business and long-term account retention.
• Develop thoughtful distribution strategies with a focus on the right doors in key cities and regions.
• Maintain brand integrity as you grow distribution.
• Create seasonal and monthly sales plans and analyze brand and account performance.
• Review selling reports to identify opportunities and drive additional business.
• Manage and track buyer outreach, appointments, pipeline, and forecasts.
• Find creative ways to reach new buyers and reactivate past accounts.
• Plan and execute road appointments
• Sell from our SoHo showroom and at markets, trade shows, road appointments, and virtual appointments.
• Share buyer feedback, competitive insights, and market trends with the team.
• Consistently work toward and exceed sales goals.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• 3+ years of wholesale fashion sales experience in the women’s contemporary market.
• Established relationships with boutique buyers throughout the U.S.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Strong understanding of wholesale buying cycles and seasonal markets.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple brands and priorities at once.
• Entrepreneurial and resourceful—you don’t wait for someone else to find the opportunity.
• Strong eye for product and an understanding of thoughtful brand distribution.
• Comfortable working independently while communicating closely with the larger team.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for road appointments, markets, and trade shows.
• Ability to carry sample suitcases weighing approximately 25–30 lbs.
• Previous multi-brand showroom experience and familiarity with JOOR, NuORDER, and Seladex are a plus.

LIFE AT ROOMS
Our showroom is a loft in the heart of SoHo. We’re a close team, and everyone has the opportunity to make an impact.

The role is hybrid: typically two days per week in the showroom and three days working from home, with more showroom time during market.

Market is fast-paced – buyer appointments, new collections, trade shows, road trips and following up. We work hard, help each other when things get busy, celebrate the wins, and genuinely enjoy the relationships we’ve built in this industry.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Base + Commission
• Performance-based commission with significant earning potential
• Company healthcare plan with 50% of the premium covered, or equivalent healthcare stipend
• 100% employer-paid dental insurance
• 401(k) eligibility after one year with company match up to 3%
• 15 days paid time off, plus company-observed holidays
• Professional development opportunities, including attendance at industry events
