House of Han, a speciality Chinese restaurant led by Master Chinese Chef Chen, was unveiled today (19 October) at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport, bringing heritage-inspired cuisine and private dining facilities to the capital.
The restaurant combines traditional Chinese cooking techniques with contemporary presentation, elegant interiors and attentive hospitality, according to the press release.
Chef Chen's approach centres on the traditions, techniques and time-honoured flavours of Chinese cuisine. His menu reflects these influences through carefully prepared dishes, with an emphasis on craftsmanship and respect for culinary heritage.
A highlight is the restaurant's signature duck, whose preparation, carving and presentation form part of the dining experience. The dish showcases the attention to detail that connects the work of the kitchen with service at the table.
Speaking at the launch, Ashwani Nayar, area general manager for IHG Southwest Asia and cluster general manager for Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport and InterContinental Dhaka, said, "House of Han is a signature of Master Chinese Chef Chen's creative expression. Our ambition is to bring honest, authentic Chinese cuisine to Dhaka in a setting that is equally luxurious. From the flavours on the plate to the interiors and the warmth of our service, every element has been thoughtfully considered. If I were to describe House of Han in two words, they would be 'honest luxury'."

Its 10 private dining rooms offer privacy, comfort and personalised service for occasions ranging from business discussions to gatherings with family and friends.
The restaurant said its launch introduced a new dining experience shaped by Chef Chen's culinary vision, with an emphasis on authenticity, care and memorable meals.
