The Kono cabin bag has an expandable design for extra packing space, and the black version is now £13.99 in a limited-time Amazon deal.
A clever travel bag that can be made bigger when you need extra packing space has dropped to £13.99 in a limited-time Amazon deal, with one shopper praising its appearance, value for money and versatile design.
The black Kono Underseat Ryanair Cabin Bag is currently available for £13.99, down 48% from its £26.99 RRP. Designed with a zip that lets you expand the bag when you need more room, the Kono expandable travel bag could be a useful option for anyone trying to fit more into their hand luggage without carrying a bulky suitcase.
The bag measures 40 x 30 x 20cm in its standard configuration, matching the dimensions of Ryanair's larger cabin bag allowance. Travellers should still check their booking and the airline's latest baggage rules before flying, as the permitted allowance depends on the ticket and any extras purchased.
One five-star reviewer was particularly impressed with the bag's appearance and practicality, describing it as “Great Value” and saying it “looks really good” without looking cheap. They also praised the included toiletry bag, adding that they planned to buy another.
The reviewer highlighted how the design can be adjusted depending on what they need to carry. The sides can be clipped down to make the bag smaller, while unzipping the bottom section allows it to expand for additional space. That flexibility could be useful if you want a compact bag for everyday use but extra capacity for a weekend away.
The Kono cabin holdall is made from water-resistant nylon, offering some protection from light rain and splashes. Its main compartment includes a separate waterproof wet pocket for damp swimwear, towels or gym clothes, helping to keep them apart from dry belongings.
There's also a small, separate make-up bag for cosmetics and toiletries, while a zipped pocket at the back provides a handy place for essentials such as a phone, keys and identification. These details could make it easier to keep everything organised while travelling, rather than rummaging through the main compartment at the airport.
Another useful addition is the trolley strap on the back, which allows the bag to slide over a suitcase handle. That can make it more convenient to move through terminals, train stations and hotel corridors, particularly if you're travelling with more than one piece of luggage.
The bag is designed to do more than just serve as cabin luggage. Its standard size can be used for shopping, the gym or sports, while the expandable configuration gives it extra potential as an overnight or weekend bag. It could also be useful as a hospital or maternity bag, or as a spare holdall kept folded away until needed.
For shoppers looking for a flexible travel bag, the combination of an expandable base, separate wet pocket, cosmetic pouch and suitcase strap makes the Kono underseat bag worth considering at its current price. The offer is time-limited, so the price and availability may change.
