Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kropyvnytskyi, the administrative center of the Kirovohrad region in central Ukraine, approximately 300 kilometers (186 miles) southeast of Kyiv, and surrounding areas on Wednesday, Oct. 14, killing three people and injuring six, regional authorities reported.
Andriy Raikovych, head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, confirmed the rising death toll in an update on his official Telegram channel.

“Another sad piece of news – a third person has been confirmed dead in the regional capital. My condolences to the families,” Raikovych wrote.
Five injured people were receiving treatment at city medical facilities, while another refused hospitalization.
The Russian assault struck multiple locations across the region, including residential areas and transport infrastructure.
According to Raikovych, one transport enterprise in Kropyvnytskyi district was hit, while private homes were damaged elsewhere in the district.
In Kropyvnytskyi itself, a strike hit the grounds of a multi-story residential building, shattering windows and damaging parked vehicles.
A private house and a vehicle were also damaged in the Oleksandriia district. No casualties were initially reported at those locations.
As the assault continued, Raikovych warned that logistics, transport and industrial enterprises were coming under attack.
“Kirovohrad region and the regional capital are still under a massive enemy attack,” he wrote, urging residents not to publish information about the strikes online and to remain in shelters.
