Another week is wrapping up in the world of high school volleyball and flag football in the Montgomery area, which means it's time to vote for the Montgomery Advertiser's Girls Athlete of the Week poll presented by The Vance Law Firm.
Voting will open on Sunday, Oct. 18, and go through Thursday, Oct. 22 till noon. The winner will be announced on Friday, Oct. 23.
Nominees are based off of top performers that are sent in by high school coaches or statisticians. Coaches and team stat keepers can send in stats to sports@montgomeryadvertiser.com to nominate players.
Montgomery Advertiser's Girls Athlete of the Week nominees presented by The Vance Law Firm for Oct. 12-16
- Montgomery Catholic's Avery Sadler went 4-for-4 passing for 26 yards and two touchdowns. Sadler also recorded two interceptions on defense.
- Montgomery Academy's Bennett Britt had 32 kills, 18 digs and a block in the Single A, Area 4 tournament.
- Montgomery Catholic's Zaria Rudolph had 34 kills, 32 assists, 24 digs and four aces in the Double A, Area 2 tournament.
- Prattville Christian Academy's Anniston Robison had 33 assists, 13 digs, three aces and two kills in the Single A, Area 4 tournament.
