BOSTON & BURNABY, British Columbia — Videa, the most adopted dental AI platform, and ClearDent today announced a new integration and partnership that will bring Videa’s AI-powered dental imaging capabilities directly into ClearDent, giving Canadian dental professionals access to AI-assisted radiographic insights within the software they already use to manage patient care.
Videa is the first AI imaging partner to launch through ClearDent’s Embedded Experience, a new integration framework that connects leading dental AI technologies directly to the ClearDent platform. Radiographic images captured by ClearDent can be automatically and securely analyzed by Videa, with AI-assisted findings accessible in ClearDent Imaging, enabling efficient clinical workflow, minimal disruption, and rapid adoption.

For dentists and their teams, that means AI insights are available where they are most useful: alongside the patient’s radiographs and treatment information, without needing to manually locate records or images in disparate systems. Videa’s visual findings also help clinicians more clearly walk patients through findings and recommended care, supporting greater patient understanding and acceptance.
“Clinicians derive real value from AI when it fits naturally into the ways they already work,” said Florian Hillen, Founder and CEO of Videa. “By integrating Videa directly into ClearDent, we can deliver AI-powered insights to dentists at the moment they are reviewing an image, discussing findings with a patient, and making clinical decisions. We’re excited to make this experience available to more practices across Canada.”
The partnership also reflects ClearDent’s broader approach to AI: giving practices access to innovative technologies while keeping the practice management platform at the center of the workflow.
“We don’t believe dental practices should have to choose between innovation and simplicity,” said Karl Schmidt, Executive Vice President of Business Development at ClearDent. “Our strategy is to make ClearDent a connected platform where leading technologies can become part of the workflows dental teams already know and trust. Videa is the first AI imaging partner to deliver that experience, and it represents an important step in how we are building the future of the ClearDent platform.”
Videa’s software has received FDA clearance for a broad range of dental AI indications, including use with pediatric patients as young as three, and the company has previously received a Health Canada license for its caries detection capability. According to Videa, approximately 90,000 clinicians use its technology, including eight of the ten largest dental groups in North America.
Videa is joining the ClearDent API Developer Program, which enables approved technology partners to build integrated solutions through the ClearDent API. The program is part of ClearDent’s ongoing investment in an ecosystem that allows dental practices to connect the technologies they need without creating fragmented workflows.
ClearDent and Videa will support the Canadian launch with educational programming, webinars, demonstrations, and industry events.
