FC Barcelona have officially announced their squad for the third matchday of the UEFA Champions League league phase against Paris Saint-Germain. The main news is the absence of French full-back Jules Koundé, who will remain in Barcelona after suffering a fitness setback.
The French international's absence is a significant blow to Hansi Flick's plans. Koundé joins the list of defensive absentees, forcing the coaching staff to reshuffle the back line for a demanding European test at the Parc des Princes.
On the positive side, Gerard Martín is included in the squad. The young defender has recovered from his fitness concerns and will travel with the first team to bolster the defence.
Barça head into this exciting clash aiming to secure three vital points away from home and strengthen their chances of progressing in Europe's premier club competition.
