Sanchez went to the southern Valencia province town of Oliva which suffered extensive damage as a result of the floods.
Emergency services handled 1,876 incidents in the Valencia region alone, with Oliva worst hit at 759.
Sanchez met with the Valencian president, Juanfran Perez Llorca, plus mayors of towns affected by Storm Adam.
The DANA was especially strong on the south coast of Valencia province and northern areas of Alicante province.
Sanchez stated that the government would be involved in any reconstruction and provide the resources so that those affected recover ‘normality as soon as possible’.
He also expressed his condolences to storm victims and thanked the work of all organisations involved in emergency work.
The Valencian government approved on Tuesday an aid package of €23.5 million for those affected by Storm Adam.
The measures include direct subsidies of €6,000 for people who have suffered damage to their main residence, €3,000 for second homes, in addition to a benefit of €800 per month for one year for those who have lost their home.
Procedures will be simplified via a single application that can be submitted either online or in person.
Juanfran Perez Llorca, said the aim was that the victims can get the money as soon as possible.
It has not been specified when the application period will open or if the form has already been made available.
The approved economic package is not limited to families.
Municipalities that have suffered damage due to the storm will also have regional funding to meet their most urgent needs.
The Valencian government has allocated an initial figure of €17.5 million euros for municipalities, which can get up to €200,000 each to cover expenses arising from the flood emergency.
Perez Llorca also said that a second aid package will be approved ‘in the next few days’ to address other losses caused by Storm Adam.
This could include commerce and hospitality, as well as owners of vehicles affected by the floods and animal shelters that have suffered damage.
