PUTRAJAYA: Applications for the RM15 million Creative Content Fund (DKK), covering six categories under the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), will open on Nov 16, said Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil.
He said the fund aimed to provide opportunities for emerging talents, expand international collaborations, enable veteran artistes to continue their creative work and encourage the production of new content, such as micro-dramas, to meet the demands of the digital market.
The six categories are the International Co-Production Fund for Feature Films/Animated Feature Films; the First Time Amateur Filmmaker (FAME) Fund; the TV Programme Co-Production Fund (Supertelefilem); the Micro-Drama Co-Production Fund (Broadcasters/OTT Platforms); the Supertelefilem Fund for Veteran Artistes (STAR); and the Nationhood Public Service Announcement (PSA) Production Fund.
“We encourage everyone to give it a try and submit their applications,” he said at a press conference on the sidelines of the Anugerah Seri Angkasa 2026 (ASA2026) here today.
Also present were Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah, Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, and Broadcasting director-general Datuk Ashwad Ismail.
Fahmi said applications could be submitted online via the Creative Industry Management and Monitoring System (SPPIK) at https://sppik.finas.my from Nov 16.
“Eligible industry players are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity, subject to the stipulated terms and conditions,” he said.
He added that the MADANI Government, through the Communications Ministry, would continue to strengthen the creative industry ecosystem by providing funding facilities, creating opportunities for emerging talents and encouraging the production of high-quality, competitive local content.
Further information on eligibility requirements, guidelines and application procedures will be announced via FINAS’ official website and social media platforms.
