Aaron Rodgers is playing in his final NFL season. He’d like to get through it in one piece, though he believes playing at Raymond James Stadium won’t help his cause.
The Steelers beat the Buccaneers 26-19 in overtime on Sunday, earning a two-game win streak. Rodgers went 33-for-49 with 253 yards and two touchdowns. He was also sacked five times.
Landing on the surface at Raymond James Stadium isn’t his favorite thing to do, especially today.
"It’s got to be one of the worst surfaces in the league," Rodgers said via The Athletic. "We're talking about player safety. I'm very thankful to not get hurt. I've gotten hurt twice on this field, in my opinion, because of the turf... I don't think it's very safe out there."
Rodgers, who ruptured his Achilles in his first season with the Jets, played through a calf injury against the Buccaneers in 2014.
In 2025, the future Hall of Famer previously called Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium "unplayable," though he hasn’t brought it back up since.
