MIE (TR) – Police in Inabe City have arrested a 26-year-old Brazilian national for allegedly stabbing a female drugstore clerk with a pair of scissors after becoming enraged by her customer service, reports Tokai TV (Oct. 23).
Ronaldo Barbosa Kato, who is unemployed, is accused of attacking the part-time worker, who is in her 60s, at a local drugstore at approximately 8:30 p.m. on October 21. According to police, Kato stabbed and slashed the woman multiple times in the neck and shoulder. She sustained minor injuries in the attack.
Investigators revealed that Kato’s actions were highly calculated. After being served by the clerk, he allegedly became so infuriated by her demeanor that he left the store, returned to his residence to retrieve the scissors, and then went back to the drugstore to carry out the assault.
Police identified the fleeing suspect through the store’s security camera footage and apprehended him the following day.
Upon his arrest on the 22nd, Kato fully admitted to the allegations.
“I got angry at the clerk’s customer service attitude and slashed her with scissors,” he told investigators.
