Greek Coast Guard Locates 25 Foreign Nationals on Andros

Greek Coast Guard authorities located 25 foreign nationals, including eight minors, on Rozo Beach near Achla Beach on the northeastern side of Andros on Sunday, following reports of their presence in the area.

The Andros Port Authority received the information around midday and immediately deployed a Coast Guard patrol boat and a patrol vehicle to the area.

During subsequent land searches, authorities located six men, 11 women and eight minors, bringing the total to 25 people.

A Coast Guard patrol boat transported the group to Vori Beach. Authorities then transferred them to a holding facility at the Andros Police Department and a temporary accommodation facility provided by the municipality.
