As of the latest Henley Passport Index released in October 2026, the Nigerian passport has climbed to 92nd position globally (up from 94th in 2025).
This subtle shift grants Nigerian passport holders entry to 45 destinations around the world without needing to secure a visa at an embassy before departure.
The development serves as good news for Nigerian passport holders looking to explore the world without the hassle of extensive visa fees or long application processes.
