In a complete reversal compared to the rest of the season, the defense gave the Cowboys multiple opportunities to get back into this game. However, despite the Green Bay defense continually bailing the Cowboys offense out with penalties, Dallas was completely unable to get anything going. Dak Prescott looked shaky in the pocket, the offensive line gave Prescott no time, the receivers dropped balls, and the running game was nonexistent.
Uncomplimentary Cowboys on full display in 23-13 loss to Packers on SNF- Shane Taylor, Inside The Star
Somehow, the 13 points are misleading; the offense was actually worse than that. Six of those points came in garbage time where Dallas had next to no chance to win.
A 10-0 lead felt like game over for Dallas, and it clearly was.
The Cowboys had a pick-6 taken off and CeeDee Lamb fell down, leading to an interception. It could be 14-10 Dallas, but it was 17-0 Green Bay at the half. Why? Because it is the Cowboys.
This team cannot get out of their own way, and we see it every single week. The offense stinks, the defense stinks, the head coach stinks and the list goes on and on.
Game Recap: Cowboys lose to Packers, 23-13- Kurt Daniels, DallasCowboys.com
The disappointing part of this game was it felt all too familiar. Green Bay had a successful first drive, and then from then on out, Dallas was fighting an uphill battle.
The game certainly didn’t get off to the start the Cowboys wanted. After the team punted on its first offensive possession, Green Bay took over and promptly went on what has become an all-too-familiar lengthy march that took 6:30 off the clock.
Dallas simply couldn’t get off the field on the 90-yard drive as the Packers converted four third-down attempts, including twice moving the chains despite facing third-and-13. Even the touchdown was a third-and-6 toss from Love to Golden for the early 7-0 lead.

7 instant reactions as Cowboys get embarrassed again in ugly loss to Packers- Jerry Trotta, The Landry Hat
This may be an overreaction, but this game may be the end of the Cowboys’ season. Even a win next week against the Eagles would mean the Cowboys have a long uphill battle if they want to win the division.
The Cowboys got one first down on the game’s first drive, but did not pick up another. To put it kindly, Schottenheimer’s play-calling was questionable.
Why would you throw short of the sticks on third down if you don’t plan on going for it on fourth down? Does that make sense? No targets for CeeDee Lamb or George Pickens. After 10 days of preparation following last week’s loss? That’s a really, really bad look.
Eagles Lose Fourth Straight, Giants Face a Choice at QB | Around the NFC East- Phillip Hughes, Sports Illustrated
Once again, the only consolation from the weekend was that the rest of the NFC East again fell flat. The Eagles and the Giants both lost, and the Commanders are 7.5 point underdogs tomorrow against the 49ers.
With approximately seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Giants also lost offensive lineman Andrew Thomas for concussion evaluation. Thomas had been questionable heading into Week 6 due to a groin injury, but was active for the start of the game.
3 things we learned about the Cowboys versus Packers- Dyllan Rivers, Blogging The Boys
The season has been incredibly frustrating so far. Dallas can’t seem to do anything right, there is no balance to the offense and defense, and the self sabotage has gotten out of control.
Everything is difficult for the Cowboys
Nothing has come easy for this team in the last two weeks. There is little-to-no room for error, and the Cowboys simply cannot stop making mistakes. Whether it’s dropped balls, missed blocks, or just plain slipping – Dallas cannot get out their own way.
