The 42-year-old veteran threw his 580th career touchdown pass, including the postseason, moving into sole possession of third place on the all-time list. Rodgers surpassed Peyton Manning, further cementing his place among the greatest quarterbacks in league history. Only Tom Brady, with 737 touchdown passes, and Drew Brees, with 608, remain ahead of him.

Rodgers makes history with 80-yard touchdown
Rodgers reached the milestone in spectacular fashion, connecting with running back Jaylen Warren for an 80-yard touchdown in the first quarter. The explosive play gave Pittsburgh an early boost and marked another memorable moment in the quarterback’s decorated career.
However, Rodgers was far from finished. He threw two additional touchdown passes against Indianapolis, bringing his total to three for the game and extending an impressive stretch of performances.

Sunday marked the third consecutive week Rodgers had thrown at least three touchdown passes. The last time he accomplished that feat was during the 2021 season with the Green Bay Packers, when he recorded three or more touchdown passes in games spanning Weeks 11 through 14.
The Steelers quarterback also reached another significant career milestone with the victory. His performance marked the 90th game in which he has thrown at least three touchdown passes, placing him in another exclusive group of NFL greats.

Rodgers joins another exclusive group

With his 90th three-touchdown game, Rodgers joined Brady, Brees and Manning as the only players in NFL history to reach that mark. Brady leads the group with 104 such games, followed by Brees with 97 and Manning with 93.
Rodgers’ latest achievements add to an already remarkable résumé. A four-time NFL Most Valuable Player, he also led the Green Bay Packers to a Super Bowl victory following the 2010 season and earned Super Bowl MVP honors.
Now helping lead Pittsburgh, Rodgers continues to demonstrate his ability to produce at a high level late in his career. His latest performance has strengthened the Steelers’ position while adding another chapter to his record-setting journey.
The Steelers, now 3-2, will look to build on Sunday’s victory when they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who sit at 1-4, in Week 6 on Sunday.
