Bills Announce Franchise History for Josh Allen, James Cook After Week 5 Win

The Buffalo Bills recorded a thrilling overtime victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, securing a 37-34 final score at SoFi Stadium.

Buffalo was led by strong individual performances for quarterback Josh Allen and running back James Cook, both of whom did quite a bit of damage with their legs.

Allen rushed for 121 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries, while Cook recorded 111 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries.

With these stat lines, Allen and Cook are the first quarterback/running back duo in Bills franchise history to each record at least 100 rushing yards in a single game.

"Dynamic duo," the team wrote in a social media post.

While Cook produced well in Monday night's win, he did struggle with ball security issues. The 27-year-old running back committed two fumbles, including one on the Bills' first possession in overtime.

Cook was ultimately saved by a blocked field goal attempt from Rams kicker Harrison Mevis. With the ball back and a chance to win the game, Allen scrambled his way down the field to get Tyler Bass in range for his game-winning kick.

The Bills are now 4-1 entering Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
