The Taliban Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has called on the owners of all residential townships across the country to submit all documents, records, and plans related to their townships to the ministry for review.
In a statement issued by the Taliban Ministry of Urban Development and Housing on Tuesday, October 13, the ministry said that owners must submit a copy of the documents related to their residential townships and complexes.
The Taliban said the process is intended to ensure urban order, enforce urban planning principles and regulations, and prevent urban violations, at a time when many people have been forced to vacate their homes.
According to the statement, owners of residential townships and complexes in Kabul and the provinces are required to submit their documents within one month. In Kabul, the documents must be submitted to the Taliban Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, while in the provinces, they must be submitted to the Taliban’s provincial departments of urban development and housing.
The statement comes as the Taliban Ministry of Justice has, in recent months, inspected residential townships in various parts of the country and confiscated several of them.
